Here's 'Frequently Asked Questions' by models attending our photoshoots.  This is recommended reading for all first time attending models.

Q. What, no admission cost, with free photos & prize money to take home? I cant figure out this scam. This is to good to be true. I just wanna know when your going to be asking me for money.

A. Well, as amazing as it may seem, models attending these events NEVER have to invest a single dime to participate. Not only do models receive a healthy amount of transportation pay, but they also get free images provided by photographers. These events are funded by photographers who attend. Models must be exclusively invited. We do NOT pay for models lodging costs, as we primarily seek models located within Southern California.

Q. What are these photographers going to do with my photos taken at your events?

A. Attending photographers are NOT provided any form of release rights, and CAN NOT publish, publicly display or distribute your image without your signature on a modeling release. We do provide 'limited releases' at every event the the model can sell to attending photographers for $20 each. These releases give the photographers rights to display your images on Model Mayhem and their own personal website, with NO profit from your images available. We recommend that you secure business cards from every photographer who photographs you, so that you can retain images from them after the shoot. You may also sell your image release rights to photographers at the shoot, increasing your income potential. The safety, protection, privacy and rights of models who attend these events has, and always will be, our utmost concern.

Q. What kind of modeling actually takes place at these events?

A. We conduct several events every year, with the time of year and location of the event determining it's theme. We primarily invite only female models, as most all our photographers are males who are not interested in working with models of their same gender.

Q. What kind of clothing styles and colors should I bring?

A. We recommend solid color clothing, with no polka dots, no wild prints, no distracting stripes. These types of clothing usually only distract the viewer of your image from what the real subject is... and thats you. Recommended clothing styles are: shorts, various forms of full and brief tops, mini-dresses, mini-skirts and form fitting pants. We do not recommend prom-dresses or cheerleader outfits, unless of course, thats the image you wish to portray.

Q. What about makeup and stuff for my hair?

A. At some of our events, we have makeup artists available. We recommend coming with your hair and makeup ready to photograph. We also recommend bringing a small makeup kit and hair assessories for touchups.

Q. Can I bring my 3 boyfriends, my 4 brothers, my mom and dad, my neighbors and a few of my pets with me?

A. Not recommended! If you are a model under the age of 18, you must bring one of your parents, or an older female model with you, to act as a guardian. Your parent or guardian must sign a release for you, indicating their permission for you to attend the event. From our past experience, obnoxious, jealous and overprotective boyfriends, brothers and parents have posed nothing but problems for photographers, as well as other models. Most beginning and advanced models have a problem posing for photographers in front of their boyfriends and relatives anyway. We do not recommend the presense of agents and personal managers.

Q. Just how safe is it for a beginning model to attend your events?

A. We have security personell at every event, and we do make attempts to check the credentials of all photographers and promotors who attend. But as we all know, there are no guarentees of a 100% safe working environment anywhere in this country. The recent deaths of a few models in some high profile incidents have made us all aware of how important it is to NOT meet with photographers in unsave environments. There is security in numbers, and we happen to pull some pretty strong turnout figures at every event. We have hosted over 100 supermodel photoshoots in the last 13 years and have never had a single physical harrassment complaint from any model. We have banned previous attendees of our events for moral reasons and underhanded business practices. A very high percentage of our attending photographers are actually professionals and serious amateurs who take their craft of photography very seriously. If you ever encounter a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable or uneasy with any individual who was either referred to you by us, or that you met at any of our events, we strongly suggest that you contact us immediately after the incident takes place, or while you are at the event.

Q. Hey... I've attended a few of your events, and some other of these photoday type events as well. I've made some decent money, and I have some great portfolio shots to show for it, and I'm interested in acting as well. What would you recommend?

A. The 'Expressions Unlimited' acting workshop in Hollywood provides Select Models with free VIP seats for some of their Thursday night comedy and drama showcases. This workshop is conducted by world renound acting coach Bobbie Chance. Bobbie has instructed many great celebrities in her previous workshops, to include Brad Pitt, Richard Dryfuss, Ricky Schroeder, Jennifer Anniston, Sylvester Stalone and many others.

Q. Wow... these photoshoots sound like a bunch of fun, So can I like bring some tequila, do some shooters and run around naked at the event?

A. Sorry wild child... NO alcholic beverages and NO nudity is allow at these events. Besides, its hard to make a fashion statement when you running around in the buff.
